The short history of the old school building was taken from a 1975 document entitled, Archer City School: A Brief History, written by Jack Loftin, Bobby Williams, JoAnn McDaniel, Earlene Hulse, and Hazel Mullis and compiled by Hazel Mullis. My thanks to Susie (Wallace) Berend for sending it to me.
